Land of the Blind
This loose series of paintings explores various themes which all surround the human condition. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king, which encompasses the broad message the narrative of these works tells. Self-reflection, state of mind, effects of technology and our separation from nature all feature in these stories.
The emergent nature of these stories is what binds them together. These works were created without a preconceived notion of what they should be, and instead were given space to become something in an organic manner. The process of creation was a slow one, as multiple works were in progress at the same time, allowing for the works to influence each other.
