Mathijs Vissers (1989, The Netherlands) is a self-taught Dutch artist working in both traditional and digital media. Matching the artificial nature of today’s world, his preferred medium is acrylic paint, combined with collage, pastels, spray-paint and markers.
He got his start in the digital art world, culminating in his work being shown at the Art Institute of Chicago and the White Night in Melbourne. In search of a more expressive and tangible medium, his focus turned to painting. Taking a storytelling approach to create various series of paintings, which have shown throughout the Netherlands.
